The Eichendorff-Gymnasium (high school) supports the suffering Rohingya in Bangladesh..

On Friday, Oct, 26, 2018, representatives of the Tanztheater-AG of the Eichendorff-Gymnasium handed over a cheque for € 2000,-- to FriendCircle WorldHelp in order to alleviate the suffering of the Rohingya in the refugee camps in Bangladesh.
After the Tanztheater-AG had finished their play "WHO AM I? You are beautiful - the beast within you" had already performed twice in May in front of a full house in the gym of the school, it became quickly clear that another performance on stage was desired. Soon arose the idea of transforming this into a charity event, and Mayor Wolfgang Metzner thankfully spontaneously took over the patronage.
On October 7th, the dancers performed on the large professional stage in front of a well-filled hall with dancing and acting skills, fascinating choreographies and surprising new pictures far away from the Disney cliché.
All additional costs including the hall rent were assumed by Tanztheater-AG, so that the entire proceeds and donations will be donated to the Rohingya project.

The cheque was presented by the patron Wolfgang Metzner and the head of the theatre company Tini Weidner in the presence of the school principal OStDin Brigitte Kaiser, accompanied of course by the beauty (Helen Fleischhauer) and the beast (Alex Scheermann) to the representatives of FriendCircle WorldHelp, Alexandra Schmitz and Tanja Dykta.
