Lecture on trip to India
2017
A thousand THANKS to our longtime friends in Luxembourg, Rodange.
On February 2, 2017 Jürgen reported with photos and pictures of the Nepal-India tour last November.
For years our friends have been supporting FriendCircle WorldHelp with caps and financial donations.
Below is a letter from our friend Annie, who introduced the work of FriendCircle WorldHelp to our friends of "Les amis des Lépreux" in Rodange. Since then, Juergen regularly attends the annual general meetings to report ...
Dear Alexandra and friends,
Today I spent the day collecting caps.
At first a friend asked me to come to Echternach.
There a lady I do not know has knitted all alone 111 caps.
Then we drove over the motorway to Rodange to the autumn dinner, which is organized every year as a joyful gathering and for fund raising.
Here too, a member of the group has knitted all alone 100 caps.
Together with the caps, which I have collected here and there, I will certainly be able to deliver in Rahden next Wednesday again about 300 warm head covers (and also scarves). (Editor's note: In the end there were over 700 ;-)
Everyone in Rodange, Echternach and Ettelbruck hopes that the caps will arrive well, and will be useful, and that the warmness of the hearts of the knitters will also be felt.
Best regards and best wishes for the upcoming project weeks in India,
Annie
2016
On Wednesday, April 20, 2016, Jürgen once more paid a visit to Rodange in Luxembourg. At the invitation of our knitting ladies in Luxembourg and the "Amis des Lépreux" Jürgen reported with photos and a video of the trip to India last November. Our friends in Rodange were especially eager to know about the newly drilled well in a leper colony near Hyderabad, as they had given a donation to FriendCircle WorldHelp for the drilling.
The welcome was very warm. During the friendly get-together after the lecture 1008!! lovingly knitted wool caps were handed over. These wonderful warm headgears will again make happy in winter many street children and persons in need...
Thousand THANKS to Rodange and warm greetings from all of us
Frank, Jürgen, Michael, Alexandra and friends
